Review: Mavala Sublime Collection Amethyst

This is a press sample.

Today I have for you a review of another polish from Mavala’s Sublime Collection, this one being the shade Amethyst.

I must say, when this lovely collection arrived in the post, and I unboxed them and had a good look, Amethyst was the one I was most excited about. And now I’ve tried it, I was definitely right in my early judgement!

This baby is just my colour!

Mavala Sublime Collection Amethyst Review

I really do have a thing for the gorgeous deep burgundy/maroon colours. They seem to suit my pale skin quite well and bring that little bit of warmth that I often need!

Mavala themselves describe Amethyst as a decadent purple, but I think this might be more of a decadent burgundy, that lovely colour somewhere between purple, brown and red. Let me tell you, this is the ultimate Autumn shade.

The photos here show three coats of the lovely polish, but I did do quite thin coats so you could probably get away with just two thicker ones.

Mavala polishes are “free from parabens, formaldehydes, toluene, camphor, cellophane, animal ingredients and heavy metal”, so you can know with comfort that they are completely safe to use.

Amethyst and all of the other polishes in the Sublime Collection are due to be released into stores such as John Lewis or Boots around Mid-November time, which is now so keep your eyes peeled for these gorgeous seasonal shades selling for only £4.50 each.
