Advent Tutorial: Christmas Pudding

We’re halfway through our advent calendar! Thank you so much to everyone who has left such nice comments or shared their photos with me. I’m glad you’re all enjoying this as much as I am.

Today’s tutorial is….a Christmas pudding! Yay! I know this isn’t a foodie favourite with everyone, but I love Christmas pudding – as long as there are no nuts in it!

All you need for this nail art design is a small paintbrush, a dotting tool, and four polishes in brown, white, green and red.

Start by painting your nail all over with your brown polish. This is an unnamed polish I bought in Turkey.

Next, use your small paintbrush with a white polish to paint the icing onto your nail, as if it is dripping down the outside. It’s a good idea to paint the outline first, then fill it in. This white is Barry M Matt White.

Take your green polish and the small paintbrush again and paint two little pieces of holly on top of the icing. This green is Barry M Racing Green.

Finally, using your dotting tool and a red polish dot three little red berries onto each nail to finish off the pudding’s decoration. This red is Barry M Blood Orange.

And here’s what the finished manicure looks like – four Christmas puddings all sat in a row!
