Advent Tutorial: Robin

And so it begins!

The 1st of December is here, and so starts my Advent calendar of nail art! Behind the door of number one today is a little robin!

Robin Nail Art

Here’s how I did it…

Robin Nail Art Step 1

Start by painting your nail with any dark brown polish. I used an unbranded chocolate-coloured one I got in Turkey!

Robin Nail Art Step 2

Next, using a bright red polish, paint a tall semi-circle on your nail for the robin’s belly. Here I used Barry M Blood Orange.

Robin Nail Art Step 3

Next, use a large dotting tool with white polish to create the whites of the eyes. Here I used Barry M Matt White.

Robin Nail Art Step 4

Take a tiny dotting tool and using a black polish, dot on the pupils! The black I used was Nails Inc Black Taxi.

Robin Nail Art Step 5

Finally, use a yellow polish and a tiny paintbrush to paint a triangle for the robin’s beak. The yellow here is Barry M Yellow.

Isn’t this the easiest design?! SO cute and so festive, all rolled into one. You know what I’m like with animal nail art!

I painted robins across all my nails and as they’re all different sizes it looks like a whole family of robins!

I hope you enjoyed today’s festive nail art, come back tomorrow to see what’s behind the next door!
