I GOT ENGAGED!

First off, I am soooooo sorry for not posting for ages! The last few weeks have been full of excitement and illness, so I haven’t had a chance to make any new posts until now.

The exciting news is…I’M ENGAGED! My boyfriend proposed just over a week ago now on the 12th of October and it was pretty much the best night of my life. Queue soppy post…

Jack had asked me a few weeks ago if I fancied going into London for dinner and to see the Lion King, which I was definitely up for, so he booked the tickets. On the day, we decided to go to Chiquito in Leicester Square which is an amazing mexican restaurant where we had some delicious food and some snazzy cocktails.

After we had finished, we walked back along the river and took a wander down to Somerset House which was a place Jack had mentioned that he wanted to show me. When we got there, it was all beautifully lit up with all the fountains on.

This is where the magic happened! We walked down into the courtyard and stood over by one of the pillars watching the fountains when Jack got down on one knee and asked my to marry him!

Obviously the first word to come out of my mouth was ‘Yes!’ but not too many words followed. I think this was one of the few times in my life I’ve actually been speechless. The ring is absolutely beautiful – 18K yellow gold and covered in diamonds. I’ve been wearing it now for about ten days and I still cannot stop staring at it!

After the proposal, we walked along to where the theatre was and Jack had found a small martini bar where we could have some champagne so we popped in there for a glass before the show. He then spilled the whole (very organised!) plan to me and told me how he’d asked my parents. We called our families and they’re all over the moon too!

The show was brilliant (although I think I spent more time looking at my ring than I did at the stage) and just made the evening even more special. After the show we walked down to Waterloo station to catch the train home and managed to take some lovely pictures of us on one of the bridges over the Thames.

All in all, it couldn’t have been more perfect! I can’t believe that I am engaged and that I have a fiance and that I’m going to be Mrs Robson….it’s mad, but very exciting! Now comes all the planning, so I’ll try and keep you all updated on our progress :)
